Beautiful Masseuse is a game about massaging ladies and buying clothes.
Hours of Gameplay?
One or two hours.
I received a free copy of this game from the developers. *Sigh*, every time I see these feet/massage/stocking games with the same, tired assets, I know I’m in for a bad time. . . so I thought. Though Beautiful Masseuse is a boring game, I was delighted to see actual gameplay which similar titles don’t have.
Massage guests and buy clothes for them, clothes for you, and new techniques. Your job is service guests by massaging them within their comfort zone, which involves centering a heart icon with the mouse wheel (and it’s as fun as it sounds). With every successful service, you will earn money, proficiency, and collection points. Money is used to purchase new clothing for your avatar, and collection is used to purchase clothing to use in “Free Mode”. New massages are unlocked via technique, though they are purely cosmetic. Each service requires “power”, which is earned by sitting down or sleeping (sort of like real life!)
There is no story (and I’m not making one up.)
The titlescreen is bland, but nicely formatted and thematically appropriate. You can adjust language and resolution preferences from the main-menu; there doesn’t seem to be any way to adjust audio or basic graphical preferences. I recognize the game assets from a handful of (bad) games, but they are presentable. The animations are repetitive, but there’s enough variety to keep them a little interesting. However, the character models need to be addressed: the “guests” are just the player character with different clothes and hair. I find it unsettling (and cheap!)
There are a wide variety of massages to see, some a little. . . saucier than the next. Do people really “massage” other people by sensually rubbing their feet on each other?
Wait for a sale and updates. Beautiful Masseuse is a boring, repetitive game with less-than-stellar control and graphics. It’s too bad this game doesn’t feature nudity or sexual content — the gameplay and focus on feet would translate well to an adult-title, and select. . . feet enthusiasts. You don’t need action to have a fun game — but you do need a variety of stuff to do. The only gameplay here is trying on outfits and scrolling the mouse wheel up and down. However, Beautiful Masseuse could be an okay game, maybe even a good game, but it’s gonna need a little bit of polish before it’s a worth a buy.
