Foreword
I originally published a review for DominaTRIX – Hentai Storytelling Puzzle on February 21st, 2020. Since then, a new game mode has been added (called “Free Mode”). I have updated that review, to reflect my thoughts on this game as of September, 2020.
Gameplay
This is a basic swippy-swappy puzzle game. In “Story Mode”, you must complete each image in chronological order. After completing Story Mode, you will unlock “Endless Mode”, where you can revisit any puzzle and adjust the difficulty as desired.
Story
The story is told piece by piece via images, as opposed to text. Each puzzles shows another part of a brief sexual encounter, between a dominatrix and a pack of submissive muscle men. In a sense, the story plays out like a picture book.
Probably not one you should show to your kids though (unless they are, you know, not kids).
Visuals
I thought the titlescreen to be organized and thematic. The user-interface is serviceable, but it looks a little blurry. From “Options”, you can adjust audio preferences. The application is borderless fullscreened by default. You can view unlocked CGs from the “Gallery”, where you can also pan and zoom about the images.
The Goods
There are ten (static) CGs total, eight of which depicting domination/submission between the protagonist and one or more big burly men. The artwork is high-quality and stylish, though something about it is off putting — I think it has to do with the coloring. Unfortunately, you can’t fullscreen the artwork without zooming in (and cutting off the edges).
Verdict
I do recommend this game, but the only good thing it has going for it are the subjects. Furry games are not nearly as common as their not-furry counterparts, and DominaTRIX – Hentai Storytelling Puzzle is a valid title for any fan of swippy-swappies in need of a furry-fix. If you’re not down to yiff, this game is yet another generic puzzle game, out-competed by a horde of higher quality, animated titles.
