Gameplay
Rearrange puzzle pieces to complete lewd images. Hentai Balloons is a puzzle game with confusing controls; though it would appear to be a slider-puzzle, this game is in-fact, a run-of-the-mill swippy-swappy game. Each puzzle consists of roughly thrirty-five pieces; as there is no “snapping” or overlays, it can be challenging to figure out whether or not a piece is in the correct position. Each completed puzzle nets another lewdie for the gallery!
Story
There is no story (and I’m not making one up!)
Visuals
I was not impressed by the titlescreen or user-interface; it’s all stock, and I don’t understand the “balloon” theme. I was under the impression balloons would some part in the game. . . I know some people have a thing for balloons. Spoiler alert — they don’t! You can mute the audio at any point, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to window the application. CGs can be reviewed from the “Art Gallery”, but they can’t be fullscreened.
The Goods
There are eight static CGs to unlock. Each piece features a (mostly) naked anime girl. There are a few scenes with BDSM and pet play, but don’t expect anything saucy. The artwork is. . . average. I found the waifus themselves to be hit or miss — some people might find their goodies off-putting. I’m not sure what it’s called. . . but you know when women use those sucky-things to make their lady-lips go big? If that’s not your thing, there’s a wide variety of lady-lips to see!
Verdict
If you’re on the prowl for an inexpensive puzzle game (with hentai), Hentai Balloons has got you covered. . . but if you’re looking for balloons, you’re gonna have a bad time. Hentai Balloons wouldn’t be my first choice; the gameplay is unremarkable, and the artwork is meh. The controls are janky, and I would have liked to have seen a stronger gallery. I think at one dollar, this game is reasonably priced — but hey, at least Hentai Balloons actually has hentai!
