Turn over face-down cards to reveal matching pairs (and unlock lewdies!) Hentai Neighbors is a bare-basic memory game. There are ten levels to choose from, with varying difficulties. The first level provides a two-by-three board (or six pieces). By the last level, the number of pieces will increase to sixteen.
Story (3/5★)
The game revolves around a barely-legal, unnamed male protagonist. It’s summer, and he’s kickin’ back in his hometown. He’s ready to learn the benefits of being an adult. . . and so is every lady in town!
Visuals (3/5★)
Display and resolution preferences can be adjusted from the Unity preboot menu. Audio can be toggled in-game via the speaker icon. Provided the adult-patch is installed, censorship can be toggled via the panty icon. Censorship is only applicable when solving puzzles; regardless of toggle, full nudity is viewable from the gallery (in addition to the base content). To review unlocked CGs, hit the “play” button. The user-interface cannot be hidden.
The Goods (3/5★)
The base game offers twelve CGs. They artwork is high-quality, but I did not appreciate the inconsistent aspect ratios; none of the artwork can be fullscreened. Even without the nude patch, the CGs are rather saucy. There are quite a bit of nippy-slips, and plenty o’ suggestive poses to. . . provide inspiration.
Hentai Neighbors – Sweet Summer (18+ Uncensored) [DLC]
This DLC doubles the number of CGs with full nude versions of the base content. It also adds the option to toggle nudity when solving puzzles. With DLC, this game has twenty-four CGs to offer.
Verdict (3/5★)
Wait for a sale. Hentai Neighbors may be a dollar, but the artwork and gameplay are lacking. The fact is, there are hundreds of cheap, lewd memory games on Steam. Hentai Neighbors may feature story snippets, but the writing isn’t exactly lewd or riveting. Art that can’t be properly fullscreened is a big turn-off of me. Honestly, I’d pass this game — but if you catch Hentai Neighbors on a sale, it’s worth a few cents.
