Foreword
I originally published a review for Hentai Harem on March 29th, 2020. I have updated that review, to reflect my thoughts on this game as of September, 2020.
Gameplay
Slide pieces around to recreate an image. There are ten stages total, each with three images (depicting varying stages of undress). You only have to the option to complete the first (of three) images as a puzzle. If you want to solve a puzzle with a naked waifu, well tough luck.
Yes! This is a game you can play one-handed!
Story
There is no story (and I’m not making one up.)
Visuals
Controls, preferences can be adjusted from Unity’s Configuration Screen (which appears before the game boots). The titlescreen and user-interface look great! But half of the title menu is dead weight. “Play” and “Level Select” both lead to the same screen, and “Continue” is rendered obsolete by the aforementioned selections. Unlocked CGs can be viewed from the “Gallery”. Unfortunately, the user-interface cannot be hidden.
The Goods
There are ten base, static CGs to unlock, each with three variants (depicting stages of undress). Honestly, I really digged the artwork! It’s too bad the CGs are rendered in a portrait aspect-ratio, making them only fill a small portion of a modern widescreen monitor. I deeply enjoyed the very-red lady-parts each waifu had to offer.
Verdict
I don’t recommend this game. Between lack of gameplay, missing features and a unfullscreenable artwork, I suggest you pass on this title. It’s a shame, because the artwork is pretty gosh darned good. This game would be wonderful for mobile devices, which are traditionally better-geared for portrait-style artwork. Although, I somehow doubt Hentai Harem fly on Google Playstore.
