Foreword
I originally published a review for Hentai Teen on February 9th, 2019. I have updated that review, to reflect my thoughts on this game as of September, 2020.
Gameplay
Reassemble an image by swapping adjacent tiles into the correct positions. Most swippy-swappies allow you swap-out two tiles at any-point on the playing board, but this game has a bit of twist; you can only swap adjacent tiles. This makes this Hentai Teen play like a swippy-puzzle, but with the frustration of slider-puzzles.
My fingers are sore from clicking so much. But then again, I’ve been playing a lot of games recently.
On the plus side, you can use some of the same tactics as you would with slider-puzzles. Just solve the top-row first, and then the second, and so-on until you complete the puzzle. It’ll save you a lot of trouble. The puzzles start easy, but become harder as more-and-more tiles are introduced. By the tenth puzzle, you’ll have to deal with thirty-six pieces!
Story
There is no story (and I’m not making one up.)
Visuals
I was disappointed by the super boring titlescreen. The audio can be muted via the “speaker” button corner of the screen. The art is consistent and attractive, and clearly done by a competent artist. Also, the images are rendered in a one-to-one aspect ratio, which bothers me. I prefer images that can fill my screen, which is definitely not shaped like a square. The interface is serviceable, but not remarkable.
Verdict
I don’t recommend this game at all. While the artwork is alright, the flaws between it and the gameplay are inexcusable. Count yourself lucky — Hentai Teen is no longer available for purchase, so you can’t waste your money even if you wanted to.
