Gameplay
The game is divided into levels, each revolving around a “waifu”. Each level includes three minigames; tic-tac-toe, memory, and a “color game”. Each of these games are awful. Let’s. . . dive in.
I wish we didn’t have to.
The tic-tac-toe sucks. It sucks hard. Good luck beating the AI, I suggest looking up “how to win at tic-tac-toe” on Google. You can expect every first level to play out the same way. The memory game is as generic as can be — just spam click to victory. But the worst game of the bunch is the “color game”. There’s no tutorial on how to play it and you’re timed. You have a colored grid, and I think the goal is to click the (one) tile that isn’t like the others — which isn’t made clear. If you have bad vision, I reckon you can’t play this game.
Story
There is no story. However, each character (or “waifu) has a few. . . measurements displayed next to them. It’s nothin’, but it’s somethin’.
Visuals
The titlescreen is a bit of a mixed bag. It looks decent, though the animations are a bit excessive. I don’t like how the title isn’t capitalized — a minor gripe, but it sure triggers me. You can adjust a single audio preference from “Settings”. I feel like there should be more preferences, such as display or additional audio parameters. Perhaps, a means to reset progress, or a difficulty setting of sorts. When viewing CGs in the gallery, the user-interface cannot be hidden. Most of the viewable CGs lack any sort of background, instead relying on the sparkly interface. Each “waifu” does have a full art CG, however.
The Goods
I liked the artwork a lot. It’s distinctive, and I would have loved to seen more — perhaps, animated too. I think that players would be willing to pay a premium for more of it. Expect female nudity and male-on-female intercourse.
Verdict
Don’t buy this game, and wait for updates. Now, you may wonder why I have chosen to “recommend” this game. The studio behind this title has historically responded to my reviews by modifying their games (for the better). My gripes with this title are minor, and if rectified I’m willing to give this game a pass. Developers, please read my commentary.
I will dis-recommend this game if such issues remain, and I will share this a wider audience after reaching a conclusion.
Overall, this is a deadly-easy title with decent CGs. Catch it on sale, and I’m sure you’ll get your USD’s worth.
Words for the Devs
My three biggest problems are as follows; waifus should occasionally make mistakes in the tic-tac-toe game; the “color game” should be easier to play, and more accessible; and the user-interface should be hidden when viewing the gallery.
