Foreword

I received a free copy of this game for review purposes — thanks DreamBig Games!

Gameplay (4/5★)

Play rounds of Poker to unlock lewd content! I’m going to confess I have no idea how to play Poker and even after I read online tutorials I’m still clueless. I’m not even going to try explaining Poker — instead, I’m going to offer a link to an article I read on Wikihow (yes, Wikihow, I’m still cool okay?) Poker is a game about managing money and taking risks. You can’t not take risks, but the idea is to minimize risk (and maximize rewards!) Don’t be afraid to “fold”. Sometimes, it’s better to lose than risk it all!

Story (2/5★)

It’s strip night, and everybody’s invited! There’s Maddy, Anna, Aiko, Destiny and Amelia. I guess you could say. . . they’re all in!

Visuals (4/5★)

The titlescreen is decent, but I found the user-interface and “Dream Big Games” logo to be messy and misaligned. You may adjust audio, display, language and graphical preferences from “Settings”. Unlocked CGs are viewable from the “Gallery” — the user-interface can be totally hidden via the “H” key. I wish menus could be exited via the “Esc” key (because clicking buttons is too much work!) You can view a run-down of Poker rules from the titlescreen, but there is no tutorial or introductory levels.

The Goods (4/5★)

There are over “800 sexy or full of sexual content images” — that’s right, “sexy or full”! Alright, I’m done ripping on DreamBig Games‘ bad spelling — there are sixty-six entries in the “Gallery”, each offering one or more static CGs. Some even offer sexual animations! As your opponents lose their chips, you’ll earn a series of “strip tease” scenes. When you beat all of your opponents, you’ll unlock a sex-scene. If you’re beaten, you’ll earn a “game over” CG! The artwork is high-quality, but I could spot visual errors (such as graininess or contorted geometry). I’m a 3D artist, so it’s easier for me to see these things — most people probably won’t notice. I suspect the animations were at least partly automated; they seemed rather jittery.

Verdict (3.5/5★)

Worth it! If you’re a fan of Poker, I think you’ll like this game. There’s fifteen “story” levels and four difficulty settings — if you’re not a fan of Poker, you can literally tell the game to “Let Me Win”! Strip ‘Em offers a solid gallery for anyone willing to learn how to uh, Strip ‘Em. To be honest, when DreamBig Games sent me this game, I was intimidated. I’ve never played any form of Poker before! Unfortunately, this game won’t teach you how to play. After playing Strip ‘Em, I can safely say Poker isn’t my cup of tea. . . but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have fun. Strip ‘Em is a great if you like Poker (minus the financial and social obligations) and ladies (also minus the financial and social obligations!)
