Gameplay
Put together an assortment of pieces to assemble an image (and grind! Grind! Grind!) You may choose between 24, 48, 64, 96, 150, and 192 pieces for each puzzle. There is no save function, so be weary when selecting higher-difficulty levels. Based on “combos” and speed of completion, you’ll earn “Lust Coins” after each level. Lust Coins are an essential currency, which can be used to purchase new levels or characters to pursue. Unfortunately, the number of Lust Coins dropped after completing a puzzle are paltry — remember what I said, grind! Grind! Grind!
Or better yet, you could purchase a Huge Coin of Lust Pack for a dollar ninety-nine. . .
Story
There is no story (and I’m not making one up!)
Visuals
The titlescreen features an attractive cast. . . I like it! From the “Settings” menu, you may adjust audio and language preferences. Unlocked content can be viewed from the “Gallery”. The user-interface can’t be hidden, but the images can be saved directly onto your PC. This is a nice touch, but I would have preferred to view them fully in-game (minus the interface). Hey, instead of microtransactions, what about 4K wallpaper DLC, 13 Faces Games and/or Senespri?
The Goods
I couldn’t be bothered to grind grind grind, so I pulled some sticky wizardry and extracted the game files. Each character appears to have ten unlockable, static CGs (for a total of sixty). Roughly half of those CGs show nudity, and perhaps a third show sexual content. All I saw was a handful of masturbation pictures — nothing spicy. The artwork is produced using 3D models, which appear to be from Daz Studio. The renders themselves are decent quality, but the scenes lack variety. I felt as though I was browsing through a gallery of stock images; the backgrounds and poses are rather generic.
I would have liked to have seen climaxes and uh, squirty squirts!
Verdict
Wait for updates — and I mean wait for updates. Not An Angels: Erotic Puzzle Game isn’t a bad game, but the developers idiotically included a dysfunctional microtransaction system. Though Lust Coins can be unlocked in-game, you’d be crazy not to buy the Lust Coin packages sold by the developers. I understand the developers want to milk money out of their players. . . but you’d think DLC would have sufficed. Or better yet, the developers could have charged more for the game. If you’re strongly encouraged to purchase the biggest pack of Lust Coins in addition to the game, this software might as well be sold for four or five USD (without the stupid coins) instead.
