Gameplay (4/5★)

Paddle balls to bust nuts blocks! The goal of the game is to break each floaty-block by guiding a ball into them. As blocks are broken, they may drop power-ups (such as extra balls or a temporary beam attack). If you lose your balls, you’ll lose a heart — and if you lose too many balls, you lose the game!

Or you can press “F” to win. . . but where’s the balls in that?

Story (1/5★)

There is no story (and I’m not making one up!)

Visuals (3/5★)

The titlescreen is nicely arranged. From “CG”, you may review unlocked images. Unfortunately, the user-interface cannot be fully hidden. Audio and display preferences can be adjusted via “Settings”.

The Goods (4/5★)

The base game does not contain any adult content. However, it features twelve static CGs with beautiful anime girls!

Love Breakout – Free 18+ Content [DLC]

This DLC adds sixty-two variations for stages of undress. There is no sexual content, but the nudity ain’t half bad! As you progress in each level, the background waifu will slowly lose her clothes. It makes gameplay a little more. . . dynamic.

I wish there were more CGs like the fourth — leaky lady lips for the win!

Verdict (3/5★)

If you like “breakout” games, Love Breakout is a great buy! The price of this title is on-point; this game offers a good selection of CGs and an hour or two of gameplay. However, sometimes Love Breakout can be a drag. There were numerous levels I forced to watch my ball dick around as it failed to collide with he last few bricks. Thankfully, power-ups are frequently dropped (greatly speeding up the game). Honestly, I don’t have very many complaints about this game. I sincerely wish the user-interface could be wholly hidden when viewing CGs — I complained about the faulty gallery in my first review (published ten months ago). Neko Game, you’ve had ten months to hide that stupid little button!
