Gameplay (2/5★)
Complete a series of minigames to unlock lewd images. Two of the games are based on timing projectile-based attacks — the idea is to not overshoot (or undershoot) oncoming foes. One of the games involves memorizing strings of characters — if your memory sucks, you can always take screenshots! There is a shooter game, where you must carefully fire hearts into a pair of breasts (while avoiding obstacles). The last stages are discount rhythym games — you must repeatedly time a single button press. The final game is unlocked by completing subsequent levels with one-hundred percent accuracy.
Story (3/5★)
The heroes of Hild have been whisked away from evil spirits! No one is sure who (or what) is responsible for their disappearance. A bounty has been placed on the source of trouble — a bounty too hefty for Helena to resist. She follows the trail of the last seen hero, which takes her to the Castle of Lust. As it turns out, everybody is alive and well. . . but Castle of Lust holds a few dirty dirty surprises for Helena!
Visuals (2/5★)
The titlescreen is nicely formatted, but I thought it was a little too dark. Audio preferences can be adjusted from “Settings”. There does not appear to be a way to adjust control or display preferences. The “Controls” selection merely displays a tutorial. The “Gallery” allows you to review CGs, but the user-interface cannot be hidden. I found the main menu to be totally dysfunctional; every time I entered the Gallery or Settings menu, the game would break. I think the Gallery worked at one point. . . but I’m starting to think I only dreamed that.
The Goods (2/5★)
There are eight static CGs to unlock. Each image shows another hero succumbing to the forces of evil (in a sexual way!) The artwork is alright, I wasn’t impressed though. All but one CG offer masturbation or straight penetration — the last image showcases lesbian tongue play. I would have liked to have seen variations (more specifically, climaxes and money shots!)
Castle Of Lust – Art Pack [DLC]
This DLC provides all in-game CGs as 2K (1920×1080) PNGs. Not only that, but it also comes with fourteen behind-the-scenes (or “WIP”) images. Thirteen are 1280×720 JFIFs, and one is a 1920×1080 JPEG. Why not can’t all of them be 2K images?

Wait for updates (but don’t hold your breath). Castle of Lust – Hentai Fantasy is four games done mediocre. The gameplay is slow and tedious, and the “hentai” isn’t worth the effort. I wish the developers simply placed four-times the effort into a single “minigame”. If you’re interested in the adult content, I’d recommend buying the DLC and forgetting about the game. Castle of Lust – Hentai Fantasy is actually an okay deal, in terms of gameplay-to-price ratio. . . it’s just not very fun. I remember having issues with the game softlocking last year — the game is still dysfunctional. Last. Fecking. Year. If Castle of Lust – Hentai Fantasy goes on sale, it’s worth a look, but I think the lack of fixes and quality of life is a major turn-off.
Castle Of Lust – Art Pack [DLC]
If you enjoy the artwork this game has to offer, this DLC is a no-brainer! However, the low resolution images may be a turn-off for users with big screen sizes. In this day and age, 4K (3840×2160) should be standard.
