I received a free copy of this game for review purposes — thanks Flying. Stone. Production!

Gameplay: published December 19th, 2021 (3/5★)

Each player distributes their battleships onto a playing board. Then, they takes turns “attacking” by guessing the location of each other’s ships. In 3D Hentai SeaBattle, there is a diagram that shows you which of the enemies ships are damaged and where; using this information, you may deduce how to plot your next attacks. In traditional Battleship, the idea is arrange your fleet in such a way to prevent the enemy from “chaining” kills in the same way — but it’s the AI in this game seems to choose random attacks every time. The game is won (or lost) when either side runs out of ships.

Unfortunately, you’re forced into playing like the AI. Each player receives four ships that occupie a single space. If they are hit once, they’re completely destroyed; on flip side, there is no way to form a strategy against them. You can determine the approximate location of any other ship “hit” or “miss”, but these units are purely a guessing game. Against a human player, these tiny ships create the possibility of a “lone wolf” scenario, where stakes and emotions reach an all-time-high as each player tries to turn the tide with a single ship. Against a CPU, they cause every battle to end with a guessing game. No matter how well you perform, the last few ships will always be a coin flip.

Sexual Content: published December 19th, 2021 (1/5★)

Each level offers five increasingly nude CGs. The artwork is mediocre as can be; the gallery looks like totally copy/pasted. The women aren’t very attractive, and the poses are anything but seductive. The gallery looks awful, and I have nothing good to say about it.

There is no story whatsoever.

Sound: published December 19th, 2021 (1/5★)

I couldn’t handle more than a few minutes of royalty-free, stock banjo. Of all music to play during a game of battleship, why banjo?! There’s only a few sound effects to hear once you mute the music, including a “ht” and “miss” sound. They’re tolerable, but certainly didn’t miss them when I muted them.

Visuals: published December 19th, 2021 (2/5★)

The lettering is a little inconstant, but user-interface is serviceable. Flying. Stone. Production may reuse the same menus for every game, but at least it works. Unfortunately, the gameplay is a little dysfunctional; there’s a diagram that shows you when and where you hit enemy ships, but the “where” doesn’t always make sense.

Take a look at the following image. On the right-hand side, blue circles represent a space that has been “attacked”. The green crosshairs represent squares that I’m attacking — I’m attacking the last three remaining tiles. Looking at the ship denoted by the arrow, you will find there is no way for the undamaged portion to correspond with remaining spaces without rotating the sprite. As far as I know, ships may not be rotated.

Verdict: published December 19th, 2021 (1.5/5★)

Pornography and Battleship is an awesome idea — but 3D Hentai SeaBattle is a disgrace. The gallery looks like a kid’s first time in Daz Studio; if I were to download a character and a “pose pack”, I could recreate the gallery in an hour! It feels like whatever I do a win or loss is purely random; I understand Battleship is fundamentally a guessing game, but you have to make compromises when porting a game to PC. It’s the same reason why Blackjack isn’t as fun wiith an AI; without a human touch, there’s no fun that isn’t winning. Without a real person on the other side (or at least an interactive opponent), 3D Hentai SeaBattle is but a low-quality, lonely reskin of game meant for two.
