Gameplay: published September 4th, 2021 (2/5★)

Alice can’t stop running, and your job is to weave her through obstacles and collect as many “crystals” as possible. Along the way are one of three power-ups, which grant flight, double “points” and crystal magnetism. If she touches anything, it’s game-over! By grinding for crystals, you may increase the duration of your power-ups and purchase lewd images! The camera is a two-faced asshole; sometimes it prevents you from seeing nearby hazards. I’ve had countless runs ended because I couldn’t see what was directly below or in front of me. The collision is a little whack, causing unnecessary deaths on seemingly flat surfaces. To unlock the full gallery, you’re gonna be hitting the “Restart” button an awful lot.

Sexual Content: published September 4th, 2021 (3/5★)

There are nine unlockable CGs, featuring tentacles and masturbation. Alice is pretty hot, and so are her tentacled friends! The posing and models could be a little better, but I enjoy the ‘toon aesthetic. The grainy artwork suggests the renders were at least somewhat rushed (or Wolfi needs better hardware!) I wish the CGs were animated (or better yet, interactive) — maybe they’d be worth the effort.

Story: published September 4th, 2021 (1/5★)

Wolfi writes, “Once in a fairy kingdom, which did not know disasters, an evil force appeared. The main character’s home village was cursed. And she will have to run away from her home.”

English ain’t your first language is it?

Apparently, the plot is to “Collect magic crystals to restore pleasant memories of the events associated with Alice.” I didn’t know there was any sort of story associated with this game until I read the store page!

Sound: published September 4th, 2021 (2/5★)

The sound track is kind of interesting, but it doesn’t take long for every track to repeat. I found the music and sound effects to be somewhat out of place, almost stock. I decided “I’ve had enough” and switched the music to something I like. The main protagonist, Alice makes a handful of sexual sounds, but they’re jarring and seemingly fill with static.

Visuals: published September 4th, 2021 (2/5★)

The titlescreen is nicely arranged, but I think it’d look cooler if the background was animated. From “Options”, you may adjust audio, display and graphical preferences. Unfortunately, music, voice and sound effects are not individually adjustable. Unlocked CGs can be viewed from the “Shop”, but the user-interface can’t be hidden. Graphically, Horny Alice: Gothic Run is a pleasant but monotonous experience; you’re forced to watch the same few buildings and obstacles for entire game. I had hoped Wolfi would have at least swapped a few color palates to denote some form of progression, but I guess it’s more work than they can be bothered with.

Verdict: published September 4th, 2021 (2.5/5★)

I don’t recommend this game. If progression was at least eight-times faster, it might be worth picking up — but as-is, under no circumstance should you grab this title. It’s riddled with small bugs sure to suck the fun out of your playthrough. From bad collision to missing “crystals”, I wanted to play something else within ten minutes. The gameplay is monotonous, without so much as visual changes to maintain engagement. Even if you have the patience to sit through a few hundred runs, the sexual content isn’t worth your time. Horny Alice: Gothic Run features quaint selection of tentacle porn, but it’d be faster to find real tentacles than to unlock “horny Alice’s” slideshow. Whenever Wolfi publishes a major balance update, I think Horny Alice: Gothic Run may be worth a quickie.
