Hot and lovely is a lewd rock-paper-scissors game. You beat five girls five times (each) to unlock up-to twenty-five (animated) images of them.
(f, FxM) Sexual content.
Barred and mosaic’d genitalia.
Hours of Game-play?

This article is pending review. It is either incomplete, out-of-date, or I feel the need to disclaim my shame for a something I’m not proud of.
. . . in a nutshell
I need to make some revisions.
out the shell. . .
There really isn’t much in regards to game-play. I found myself losing focus time and time again, as “beating” this game requires little more than spamming the mouse key on your choice of move. I chose rock, ‘cus I rocked the girls’ worlds!
Hey wait! My joke wasn’t that bad!
But in all seriousness, the game-play blows. There is nothing original, and between “moves” you have to wait for a timer to reset before you can make another move. While you wait, you can do absolutely nothing. Oh yeah, you have to win a certain number of matches within’ a thirty second time-frame. If you win a few, you unlock one (of five) images for your choice of girl.
When you unlock the final image of a girl, there is a sexual mini-game. You have to pick any combination of (one of four) sexual actions to fill-up a “love meter”. When it becomes full, you unlock a final (money-shot!) scene.
The closest thing to a story is the gallery. But if you count sitting-down, bathing, and sex to be a good story. . . well I guess this game has you covered? Let’s face it. The story blows, there is no story, moving on.
I will admit, the visuals to this game were really nice. I caught at least one misspelling, but overall the interface looked clean and pleasurable to look at. The gallery is full of animated images, which is really ambitious for such an inexpensive title. The images remind me of those from a title called Seek Girl, which is full of wonderful animations. Unfortunately, hot and lovely’s animations (while very decent) sometimes fall short, with poorly animated breasts and careless money-shots. They look okay, but I find the animation errors to be jarring. Other than that, the gallery and number of animations is. . . awesome.
The only thing this game has going for it is artwork. There is no riveting story or game-play. If you like the artwork this title has to offer, grab it while it goes on sale. Otherwise, I’d give this ‘un a pass.
I really, really wanted to give this game a pass. . . but as it falls short on game-play, I honestly think this title is only good for its sumptuous gallery.
Following my (admittingly) harsh review of hot and lovely, a developer responded. They expressed a desire to “reflect on our shortcomings in playfulness” and to create “playful and ornamental works”. Additionally, they also mentioned new DLC, which (I presume) will increase the size of the gallery. I hope to see these words become actions moving forward, and that the title is met with success in the near future.
