Foreword

I was pleasantly surprised by the improvements Nurse Sofi holds over Pen in Apple Studio’s other memory games. The addition of visual novel segments dramatically improved this game, giving life to the characters and context to the sex scenes. Unfortunately, it appears to be that Nurse Sofi is the only memory game of Pen in Apple’s that breaks the mold.

Gameplay

. . . in a nutshell

Consult my article on memory puzzles.

out the shell. . .

This is a memory game. There’s a board of face down cards, and your job is find every matching pair. There are ten stages, and each is comprised of forty cards (or an eight-by-five card playing area). Before a stage begins, each card is briefly turned face-up (giving you a chance to memorize their locations). After completing a puzzle, a (very) brief visual novel segment will play.

Or you can cheat by snapping a photo or screenshot.

If you’re gonna cheat, the developers at Pen in Apple studio have included a handy button combo to auto-solve any puzzle. What pals!

Yes! This is a game you can play one-handed!

Story

You’ve come down with a ragin’ fever, but you’re in lcuk! You’ve been admitted to quite possibly the best hospital in the nation! You’ll see what I mean.

Don’t forget about the sperm-sample!

Visuals

The user-interface is serviceable and easy to navigate. It could just be me, but it seemed to be a little more refined than previous entries in the series. The cards appeared cheap and generic. Unfortunately, when viewing unlocked CGs, not all of the user-interface is hidden. The CGs were the only remarkable visual element in this game.

The Goods

There are nine animated CGs total. They are we well animated, but fall a bit short of top-notch. Coming from Pen in Apple Studio, I’ve come to expect good animations as a steal of a price.

. . . expect female and male-on-female sexual content.

Verdict

I strongly recommend this title for the CGs, but not so much for the gameplay. The gameplay isn’t exactly riveting, and brings nothing new to the memory game genre.
