Goddess of Hentai

Foreword

I originally published a review for Goddess of Hentai on Feburary 24th, 2020. I have updated that review, to reflect my thoughts on this game as of September, 2020. I wish there was a way to obtain the images in this game on their own: I would love to have a waifu thrusting her sword into her lady bits as my next screensaver.

Gameplay

An above-average swippy-swappy puzzle game with adjustable difficulty. In “Hard Mode”, movement is restricted to adjacent tiles (as opposed to being able to swap the positions of any two tiles.) For “Hard” puzzles, I suggest following the same strategies as you would with slider-puzzles. Solve the top row, then the left. RInse and repeat until you reach the last four tiles. Then, it’s just a matter of rotating them to victory.

Story

There is no story (and I’m not making one up.)

Visuals

The titlescreen and user-interface are very attractive. From the “Gallery”, you can review unlocked CGs. Unfortunately, the user-interface cannot be hidden (and this issue still hasn’t been addressed.) You can adjust audio, difficulty, display and soundtrack preferences from the “Options” menu in-game.

The Goods

There are ten base images to unlock, each with four variants (depicting stages of undress). The artwork is very high quality — the CGs typically depict a woman in a provocative position, often inserting an. . . unconventional object into her lady parts. Remember kids, anything’s a dildo if you try hard enough.

Verdict

I highly recommend this title. The artwork is great, and between “easy” and “hard” puzzles you’re looking at eighty levels for a steal of a price. It’s a shame that the user-interface cannot be hidden, and the artwork is not available on its own via DLC. If you’re fond of swippy-swappies, I think you’ll get a lot of value from Goddess of Hentai.
